I produced House of Flame. The concept centered around creatives of color coming together under one roof, a studio space, to “cook up” some of the hottest content in Portland.
The team included photo assistants, hair, wardrobe, and makeup stylists, lighting gaffers, photographers, videographers, and models, all collaborating to produce high-quality visuals. Many of the participants were early-career creatives looking to grow their presence in the production and content creation industries.
The goal of House of Flame was to demonstrate that Black and Brown creatives are fully capable of producing top-tier content from start to finish. I wanted to show the city and the creatives involved that excellence doesn't have to be tied to a major brand. With the right space, community, and vision, it’s possible to create powerful, culturally rich work independently.
